Overview:
The Mini VLS series of speed optical sensors are primarily designed for speed monitoring related use, although they can be used in special applications e.g. high speed detection and counting of objects presence. The Mini VLS sensors are designed for use with remote digital tachometers, counters and rotation monitoring products, data collectors, including panel mounted and bench style instruments and also any similar pulse input product made by any pulse input instrumentation manufacturers. Special configurations are available to suit clients requirements, as we specialise in providing OEM versions customised to clients specific needs. Each speed sensor is equipped with a led light confirming normal operation and correct alignement of light beam as this indeed will simplify speed sensor installation. Visible light model operates up to 1 metre; the laser light optional speed sensors operates up to 2 metre. These high quality speed sensors are housed in rugged stainless steel enclosures which are sealed to IP67 standard, they are engineered for easy mounting in either a proximity sensor style housing or plain version with grooved body which is designed to be used either hand held or with an optional mounting bracket which can be tripod mounted or fixed to a machine surface.

Speed sensor options and accessories:
A range of optional mounting devices is available for use with Mini VLS speed sensors, as also special version with custom pulse output signal. Various electrical connections are available Below a basic list of available accessories:
- short focus lens for high speed;
- brackets for fixed and tripod;
- clamps.
 

Typical applications:
Specifically designed for research and development and test applications, these two products versions  are ideal for vehicle testing.  Special versions are also available to suit speed monitoring as also in smoke by vehicle emission testing. Above speed sensors are also ideal where phase and speed monitoring is required in vibration monitoring and balancing applications on rotating machinery. At last but not least, specific speed sensor versions are available for use with externally triggerable digital
stroboscopes.
